Cristina Harris
Cristina Harris is a singer/songwriter out of New Haven, Connecticut. Her first full-length album, Safer in the Dark, led to some industry attention including using one of her songs, “Banging Away”, being used in the Netflix reboot of Charmed.
Cristina approached me to help build her online presence with a website and social media.
Brief: To design a website with a modern, sophisticated look that mirrors her soothing and introspective lyrics. To feature new album prominently, encourage email signups, and help drive attendance to shows.
Solution: A deep blue-grey, almost black, background for the site reminiscent of the dimly-lit cafes & lounges of her late-night gigs. Montserrat, a soft sans-serif font, is used throughout the site, reflecting her dreamy melodies and gentle instrumentals. The homepage features a dark, edgy portrait paired with a magazine quote of hers that gets to the heart of who she is as a musician.
